October was a big month for the hospitality industry and for us at Healthy Mind Menu. As part of World Mental Health Day and Mental Health Month, we saw powerful media coverage that’s helping bring long needed attention to the wellbeing of people working behind the scenes in cafés, restaurants, bars and hotels.

In The West Australian, we joined state leaders to discuss the scale of psychological distress in hospitality, where more than one in three workers experience high levels of stress, around three times the national average.

Leadership stepping forward
We were honoured that WA Health Minister Meredith Hammat joined us and leaders and workers from across the state’s hospitality industry to support mental health, recognising the urgency and momentum behind this work.
Looking ahead
We are continuing to grow partnerships, expand our resources and reach more hospitality venues in 2026.
Wellbeing in Hospitality for Leaders Pilot Program.
This Pilot Program is coming to an end, which is currently free until 31 December. From January it will move to a paid enrolment model, supporting long-term delivery and impact.
