In 2022, QT Perth hosted Curation For A Cause, an unforgettable night honouring Perth’s hospitality heroes while supporting a vital cause. This exclusive fundraising dinner brought together four of Western Australia’s top chefs for a culinary experience that was both indulgent and meaningful, with proceeds supporting the Healthy Mind Menu (HMM) charity.
Held at QT Perth’s award-winning Santini Grill, the four-course feast was curated to showcase local talent, unique flavours, and heartfelt purpose. Executive Chef Andrew Barkham led the event, with guest chefs Stephen Clarke (Clarke’s of North Beach), Alan Spagnolo (Sandalford Winery), and Amanda Yong (Empyrean Education Institute) joining the QT kitchen to craft signature dishes for an elegant degustation menu. Each course was paired with premium local wines, including the distinguished 2017 Sandalford Estate Cabernet Sauvignon.
Guests savored Western Australia’s finest produce, including delicacies like Akoya oyster with scampi caviar, lime, and fennel, and the award-winning Futari Wagyu Beef Rotolo with soft yolk, bone broth, and parmigiana. Each dish was thoughtfully crafted to not only satisfy but evoke emotion, providing a sensory journey inspired by Western Australian ingredients.
Since its inception in 2018, Healthy Mind Menu has addressed mental health challenges in hospitality by advocating for resources, education, and awareness for WA’s hospitality workers. Curation For A Cause offered guests a chance to support this mission, with a portion of proceeds going directly to HMM to aid workers facing mental health challenges.
HMM Chairperson Wayne Teo shared, “We are thrilled to partner with QT Perth and ultimately be able to offer assistance to the people in the industry who are suffering, educate peers about the importance of mental health, and encourage people to speak up before they’re at crisis point.”
